Logística y FAQ

Where is the meeting point?

To ensure we ascend the mountain together and begin our orientation from mile zero, we suggest meeting at the Multiservicios Terpel Station in La Calera. However, the exact location is flexible and can be coordinated to suit your group's convenience.

What will the food be like?

Don't worry about meals; your day trip includes an artisanal snack, hot beverages for the mountain weather, and a traditional Colombian lunch (vegetarian options available upon request).

What time do we start?

We suggest meeting at 07:00 AM to make the most of the daylight and weather (the journey to the heart of the reserve takes approx. 2 hours). But don't worry about an early start: the time is 100% flexible and will be adjusted to your group's pace.

Can anyone do the hike? Is it difficult?

Our trails are designed for enjoyment and connection, not physical exhaustion. They have a low-medium difficulty level with minimal environmental impact. You don't need to be an expert athlete, just willing to walk through the forest.

What should you bring?

The páramo weather is magical and ever-changing (cold/heat). We recommend wearing comfortable layers, a waterproof or windbreaker jacket, hiking shoes with good grip, a hat, and sunscreen.

Is the experience suitable for children?

Absolutely! It is the perfect environmental classroom for new generations. We recommend the experience for children aged 6 or 7 and up to enjoy it to the fullest, although we welcome future guardians of all ages.

What about transportation from La Calera if I don't have a vehicle?

We've got you covered! For small groups (1 to 4 people) without their own transport, we offer an optional private service from the meeting point in La Calera for an additional $250,000 COP (total cost for the vehicle).

Can I bring my pet?

Out of love and respect for nature, no. We are a protected ecosystem and home to the country's only Spectacled Bear rehabilitation sanctuary. To ensure biosafety and the well-being of our wildlife and ecosystem, domestic animals are not allowed.
